Surrounded by the British press - I get that moment Noel & Robbie meet at Glasto. It's seminal in recent rock history and often referenced by the likes of Q Magazine. Robbie’s ’off ’is ’ead for the entire episode and appeared with Oasis on stage. Two weeks later Rob’s booted out of Take That and Oasis go to no.1 with Roll with It.

with Tears For Fears, Paris, June 2005.

Julia and I do the big back stage thing at Live 8, yes, that controversial ‘golden circle’, where the public were kept at bay–quite bloody right too. Don’t want some ‘spod’ spilling my ‘fair trade’ pint.

^ Andy Pearman & I on the stage of the Radio 1 Roadshow, just before transmission, Plymouth Hoe, 1991. It was Phillip Schofield's week and Kylie performed...again! I was a DJ at Orchard but getting ideas above my ( radio ) station... ( not sure what's worse - the knees or the socks? )
^ The Wurzels & Same Shaped Heads stand / lean shoulder-shoulder despite the Blagdon rain. Our first gig as a band was nearly a 'pro' job supporting the Westcountry legends at Combe Lodge, Blagdon, '07. The last time I'd worked with them was 15 years before on an Orchard FM OB at the Bath & West show.. They're 'oak-aged' in the finest barrels, you know..
^It was a remarkably interesting evening, given that we were in a musty underground bunker from where Churchill ran the war, on the anniversary of the outbreak of WW II. Dame Vera Lynn regaled us with her wartime tales after a moving interview with Andrew Castle for GMTV. I later broke it to her on GMTV in a phone interview that her album was no.2 in the charts!
